Alex is a graduate of Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. A native of Dallas, Alex attended Christ the King School and later Ursuline Academy, before heading to the University of Georgia where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology.
After a year of employment litigation casework with the law firm of Rogers & Hardin in Atlanta, Alex moved home to Dallas to attend law school. While at SMU Dedman School of Law, she worked as a volunteer for Catholic Charities of Dallas Legal Services Center advising indigent clients on immigration law and the Violence Against Women Act. She also studied comparative international law for a summer at University College in Oxford, England. Following graduation, Alex served as a law clerk for the Honorable Judge Jane Boyle in the United States Federal District Court where she drafted orders, conducted research, and attended federal trials. She practiced family law with McClure Law Group for a year until she pursued a career change and assisted at the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office. Alex joined Spencer Law, PC in January of 2015 to practice probate and estate litigation and represents clients all over Texas.
She is an active member of the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers (DAYL) and Dallas Bar Association (DBA). An avid volunteer, Alex provides pro bono services for the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program (DVAP), is a board chair for the T. Boone Pickens Leadership Institute and is involved in the Junior League of Dallas. She serves on the advisory board for “The One” Society, a non-profit young professionals’ group she helped create in 2010 that has raised over $200,000 for Children’s Medical Center. Her passions include cooking, reading, traveling, and spending time with her family and two beloved rescue dogs.
